Signal Lighthouse: add it to your map and make it your own
A ready-made lighthouse for your island or harbour. Place it on your map, choose your colours and connect its light to events in your game.

Choose a place on your map
A lighthouse works well as a landmark: players can spot it from a distance and understand where to go. Place the tower on the edge of an island, at a harbour entrance or at the end of a coastal path. Leave some space in front of the steps.
The model is called “Signal Lighthouse — coastal tower” and is available in Components. You only need SignalLighthouse.rbxm to place it on your map.
Three steps to your own map
- Download the model from its component page.
- Open your map in Roblox Studio. In Explorer, right-click Workspace → Insert from File… and select the file.
- Select SignalLighthouse and move the whole model with the Move tool. Press F to focus the camera on the selected model.
All parts are anchored and the lantern is already on. The door is decorative: there are no rooms or stairs inside.
Choose your own colours
Expand the model in Explorer. Its parts are arranged in six groups: base, tower, entrance, balcony, lantern and roof. The group names include numbers to make them easier to find.
Start by making a copy with Ctrl+D. Select parts in 02_Tower or 06_Roof and change Color in Properties. Try a white tower with a blue roof for a seaside town, or a grey tower with a red roof for a rocky coast. Dark railings and a warm lantern help preserve its recognisable silhouette.
Adjust the light
In 05_Lantern, expand Lamp → SignalLight. Enabled controls whether the light is on, Brightness controls its intensity and Range controls its reach. Check how the lighthouse looks with the lighting on your map.
If your story requires the lighthouse to turn on after a quest, use SignalLighthouse.luau from the component files. Its setLit(model, true) and setLit(model, false) functions switch both the light source and the glowing parts. A full setup example is included in “Начни здесь.txt” (“Start here”). You do not need this module for a static decoration.
Three ideas to try
- A meeting point: paths from different parts of the island converge at the lighthouse.
- The end of a route: the player reaches the tower and turns on the light.
- Part of a town: place it by a pier, with warehouses, boats and a square nearby.
